It is our belief that parents are experts on their children and valuable partners in the education of their child. We encourage parents to remain active in their child’s school and education to give students the best opportunities while establishing a strong supportive community. Pathway is a very special school and we know that our parents are other parents best resources; if your child is struggling in some way we have parents that have been through what you are going through and can assist with professional recommendations and just conversation sharing their experiences. At Pathway, we are a family.

Gradelink

Gradelink is a fully integrated, online grading, attendance and school administration system. Gradelink works over the World Wide Web and can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. Parents are able to keep track of their child’s progress by viewing grades, assignments, attendance, and conduct reports.

Parent Teacher Fellowship

The Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) supports school staff and students throughout the year. This group brings together faculty and parents together to give our students the best opportunities while establishing a strong supportive community. It assists in activities such as the Back to School Welcome Social, welcoming new families, field trips, science camp chaperones, Pathway of Hope fundraiser, classroom holiday parties, Teacher Appreciation Week, school library, and office and teacher volunteers.

Pathway School could not run smoothly without the involvement and assistance of our many parent volunteers and the leadership of PTF.

The PTF has organized Friday Fun Lunches. School is dismissed at 12:15 PM each Friday for staff development. Many families bring lunch at pick-up and eat at the lunch tables and allow their children and often siblings to have lunch together and playtime.

Most importantly, we are a close-knit community at Pathway. Parenting a child that struggles in school is not always easy. Our parents support each other emotionally and are a resource to one another with referrals for professional services for students. If a family is in a time of need, the PTF will organize and provide support with meals and transportation to and from school if needed.

Pathway is truly a family!
