Families, donors, and friends trust Pathway School with their information. This page explains what we collect through pathwayschool.net, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Pathway School ("Pathway," "we," "us") is a private, faith-based school for students in grades 2 through 8 in Laguna Hills, California. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website, online forms, email newsletters, event registrations, and online giving. It does not replace the policies in our Family Handbook, which govern student records kept by the school.

Inquiry and tour requests: parent or guardian name, email, phone, your child's first name, grade, and anything you choose to share about your child's learning.
Enrollment and application forms: family contact details and the student information requested in the application.
Donations and event registrations: name, address, email, phone, gift or ticket details, and dedication or tribute information.
Newsletter sign-ups and messages you send us through contact forms or email.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, our site host and analytics tools may collect basic technical details such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and approximate location based on IP address.
Payment information
Online payments and gifts are processed by Bloomerang Fundraising. Pathway does not store your full card or bank account number on our website.

3. Student information and photos
We treat information about our students with great care. Details you share about your child's learning, health, or evaluations are used only to understand your child's needs and are shared only with Pathway staff who need them.
We may feature student photos, artwork, or first names on our website, social media, and printed materials to celebrate school life. We only do so for students whose families have given media consent, and we do not publish students' last names with their photos. You may change your media consent at any time by contacting the school office.
4. Children's privacy
Our website is meant for parents, guardians, and adults in our community. We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:
Service providers who help us run the school's website and communications, such as our website host, email newsletter platform, online form provider, payment processor, and tuition assistance provider. They may use your information only to provide services to Pathway.
Within our school community, such as sharing volunteer contact details with event coordinators or our Parent Teacher Fellowship, when you have signed up to take part.
When required by law, or to protect the safety of our students, staff, and families.
6. Donor privacy
Pathway respects the privacy of our donors. We never sell or share donor lists with other organizations. We may recognize donors by name in printed programs, annual reports, or event materials. If you would like your gift to remain anonymous, simply let us know when you give or contact us at any time.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies, small files stored in your browser, to keep the site working and to understand visits through tools such as Squarespace Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as expected without them.
8. Your choices
Email: Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any newsletter, or contact us to be removed.
Your information: You may ask to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep by law.
Photos: Families may update media consent at any time through the school office.
Donor recognition: Ask to be listed as anonymous.
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure (SSL) connections on our website and limiting access to staff who need it. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Links to other sites
Our website may link to other sites, such as our Instagram and Facebook pages, our Google Business Profile, or partner organizations. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
