Enrichment

In today’s world, students require technological skills. At the elementary and middle school level, students are using a laptop daily and learning how to leverage technology in a way that helps them be most successful in their academic and creative lives. Among many topics, students are formally instructed on the use of more advanced word processing, presentation software, creating multimedia projects, research, and safety.

Many of our students are enthusiastic about using their creative talents. During their time in the art studio, students learn how to apply various artistic techniques and have created some truly beautiful work. It is a joy to watch as students uncover their artistic abilities — especially those who used to think they did not have it in them!

Art

Pathway students shine bright onstage during our annual Christmas production and spring talent show. Every student has a role in making the Christmas performance a success. Students contribute through planning, brainstorming props, lighting, singing, dancing, and acting. Many Pathway students have discovered their gift of performance through these events; they are the highlight of the school year for parents, staff, and students!

At Pathway, our Coding program is powered by the dynamic curriculum of Code.org. Living by their motto, we believe that 'Every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science.' From diving into the captivating world of 'Pixar in a Box' to unraveling the intricacies of Python and JavaScript, our program equips students with the cutting-edge skills that are essential in today's digital era. This isn't just coding; it's an exciting journey into the world of technology, ensuring our students are not only consumers but also creators in our rapidly evolving digital landscape.

At Pathway School, our Student Council is the heart of our vibrant school spirit! It's made up of energetic, elected students from every class, along with our school officers, who work together to bring fun and excitement to our school days with events like pajama day, crazy hat day, and sports day. But that's not all – being part of the Student Council is a fantastic opportunity for students to boost their leadership, responsibility, and public speaking skills. It's all about making school life more exciting while building important life skills along the way!

Field Trips

Our adventures outside of the classroom offer young minds a chance to explore, learn, and have fun in a hands-on way. They're a chance to step into history, science, or art, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm for their studies. Field trips build connections between what they've learned in the classroom and the real world, helping them see the relevance of their education. At Pathway, we believe in the power of these journeys to inspire a love for learning and create lasting bonds with classmates. Some of our past field trips include: Jet Propulsion Laboratories, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, California Science Center, Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center, Disney Imagination Campus, Getty Museum, Discovery Cube, SkyDive Perris, Operation Christmas Child, and R.H. Fleet Science Center.
